Two men injured in paramilitary style shootings in Belfast

Two men are being treated in hospital for serious injuries following two separate paramilitary style attacks in west Belfast.

A 17-year-old youth was taken to then Royal Victoria Hospital after being shot in both legs and arms on Thursday August 9 at around 10pm.

An RUC spokeswoman said a gang of men had taken him from his home to the rear of Aitnamona Crescent in Andersontown where he was then shot.

A second shooting victim is also receiving treatment in the Royal Victoria Hospital for wounds to both legs. The shooting took place around 10.20pm on Thursday at Juniper Way in Twinbrook on the outskirts of west Belfast.

Meanwhile, in Doon Road, in Suffolk, West Belfast, nine cars had their windows smashed around 3.30am on Friday morning and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. (AMcE)

Man Shot In West Belfast
A man has been shot in both legs in a paramilitary style attack in west Belfast. The attack occurred in the Ardmonagh Gardens area shortly before 9pm on Saturday, 25 June. The victim was taken to hospital however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot Dead In West Belfast
A man has been shot dead in west Belfast. It is the third shooting incident in the city in less than 24 hours. Daniel Murray, a delivery driver aged in his 50s, was killed in his car on Lady Street on Monday night. Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey condemned the attack He said: "There can be no place in our society for such actions.
