Search For Missing Cyclist Continues
The search for a missing County Antrim Cyclist who went missing on New Year’s Day is still ongoing.
Samuel Campbell, 49, went out cycling on Sunday last at 14.15 in the Kells area and failed to return.
The bicycle belonging to Mr Campbell has since been found.
His bike was discovered on the shoreline, about a mile outside the village of Glenarm on Tuesday night.
Police, the coastguard and civilians are now taking part in a major search operation along the Antrim coast.
The 49-year-old was last seen wearing a red top with the symbol TCG, black cycling leggings and cycle glasses and it is understood that it would be very unusual for him not to contact his family.
Mr Campbell would have often covered up to 20 miles on his outings so prior to the discovery of his bike the search was covering a wide area, including Kells, Ballymena, Clough, Ahoghill and Cullybackey.
