Object Found At St Angelo Airport Not Explosive

A suspect object found at St Angelo Airport in Enniskillen on Monday evening was "nothing untoward" according to police.

Army bomb experts removed the object which was found on a plane registered in England but based at At Angelo.

No further information was reported.

Suspicious Object Found In Co Antrim Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax. The Mill Road in Newtownabbey has been reopened. Elsewhere, a suspicious object discovered on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast was also declared a hoax. The road reopened at around 4.20am on Wednesday, 13 July. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

District Council “mothball” Enniskillen’s St Angelo Airport
Fermanagh District Council have announced that St Angelo Airport near Enniskillen is to close. The airport, which catered for passenger flights during the summer months, has been closed indefinitely pending an “upturn in the aviation industry”.

Suspicious Object Found In East Belfast
A suspicious object has been found in east Belfast. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Sydenham Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No further details have been released.

Security Alert Underway In Belfast
A security alert is currently underway in Belfast. It is understood there have been reports of a suspicious object found in the Tates Avenue area of the city. As a result, the road has been closed between Boucher Road roundabout and Lorne Street. Police and army bomb experts are in attendance at the scene. No other details have been released.
