Prison officer's home targeted in pipe-bomb attack
A prison officer's home has been targeted in a pipe-bomb attack over the weekend.
The incident occurred at Ardmore Heights in Holywood, Co Down, shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Several people in the house saw a man approach the front window just before the explosion occurred.
The device was left on a windowsill shortly before exploding.
No one was injured in the attack however damage was caused to the front of the house. A number of items were taken away for examination.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them, especially anyone who may have seen a silver car, possibly an Audi, at the time of the incident.

House attack 'not racially motivated'
Police have ruled out any racial motive behind an attack on four East Timor nationals at a house in Co Tyrone early this morning. The four individuals, who were origianlly thought to have been Portuguese, were in their Belvedere Park home in Dungannon when a gang of men, armed with baseball bats and iron bars, broke in and ransacked their house.

Gun Attack In West Belfast
A gun attack in west Belfast has left a man in hospital. The man is being treated after he was shot in the leg in a house at Colinview Street. The incident occurred shortly before 8.30pm on Wednesday evening. Police say the victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Shots Fired At Two Houses In Coleraine
A man, woman and teenager have escaped injury after shots were fired through the front window of a house in Coleraine. Two properties in the Oakvale Park area of the town were targeted in the early hours of this morning, Friday 06 March. No one was injured in either incident.

Police woman injured in attack
A police woman has been treated in hospital after a police patrol was attacked by youths in east Belfast last night. The incident occurred near the Markets area of the city when the officer's car was pelted with bricks and other missiles as it drove along East Bridge Street.

Police probe arson attack on Glengormley home
Police are investigating an arson attack on a house in Carnview Crescent in Glengormly, Co Antrim, this morning. The incident occurred at around 5.15am when a petrol bomb hit and set fire to the front door of the house. A man, a woman and their son who had been upstairs when the attack occurred escaped from the house through the back door.
