Armed Robbery At L'Derry Shop

Detectives in L'Derry are appealing for information following an armed robbery that on the evening of Saturday 11 January in the Park Avenue area.

At about 20:40, two males entered a commercial premises and demanded money.

One of the robbers was armed with a wheel brace. The pair made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Upper Nassau Street. No-one was injured in the incident.

The first male is described as being approximately 5'11" tall, of slim build and wearing a light grey hooded top and light grey tracksuit bottoms.

The second male is described as being approximately 5'7" tall, of medium build and wearing a dark grey hooded top.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Strand Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000.

Man Suffers Head Injury In Belfast Assault
A man has suffered a head injury after being attacked by four men in the Friendly Street area of south Belfast. The incident happened at around 7pm on Wednesday 09 January. The victim, aged in his 20's, has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
