Further Problems For Ulster Bank
Ulster Bank customers are once again facing issues with their accounts.
In a statement, the bank confirmed it was having problems with its computer systems.
It is understood the issue first occurred on Easter Monday and into Easter Tuesday.
The latest setback has seen some customers that have used cash machine withdrawals being debited twice from their accounts. Ulster Bank has said it hopes to restore the money back into the affected accounts by Thursday night.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: "We are working to correct this for affected customers and restore money to accounts tonight.
"Customers will not be left out of pocket as a result and can contact us if they require further assistance. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
In 2012, a serious technical failure at parent company RBS meant many customers were left unable to access their money for weeks. The chaos led to the bank handing out £18m in compensation. Then last year, a series of glitches again hit the bank's systems. One such incident occurred in December, just days before Christmas when customers were unable to use their debit or credit cards, while online services and smartphone apps were also affected.
