Belfast man shot in paramilitary style attack
A man has been shot in the leg in a paramilitary style attack on the outskirts of Belfast. The shooting occurred in an alleyway close to Ballyduff Brae in Newtownabbey on Monday night.
Elsewhere, two teenage girls have escaped injury after they attacked during an attempted mugging in Coleraine last night. The girls were attacked by two teenage boys as they walked along Church Street in the town. One of the attackers placed a knife to the throat of one of the girls demanding money. However, they escaped empty handed.

Man Shot Dead In West Belfast
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Glenwood Court, Poleglass, at around 8.15pm on Thursday, 20 October. He has been named locally as Joe Reilly, aged 43.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

New Programme To Inspire Girls To Pursue Maths
A new programme to inspire girls in Northern Ireland to continue their pursuit of maths has been launched by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and professional services firm PwC. The aim of the Maths4Girls programme is to increase engagement and interest levels of girls aged 11-14 in maths because this opens-up high-impact STEM-related careers.

Teenage girls injured by glass in paint attack
Three teenage girls have been injured after their home was attacked in Londonderry on Monday night. The girls, who were at the front of the house at the time, suffered cuts to their legs caused by broken glass after paint was thrown through the front window of the house in the Fountain Estate area at about 10pm.

Two teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested in connection with an assault in County Down on Saturday, 17 June. On the evening of 17 June, police received reports of up to 40 young people gathered in the Banks Lane car park area of Ballyholme.
