Shooting Incident At North Belfast House
Detectives in north Belfast are investigating the report of a shooting incident in the Velsheda Court area yesterday evening, 3 September.
It was reported to police that a man called to the house at around 22:00 and, when the door was answered by a male occupant, a number of shots were fired.
The occupant was not injured in the incident, but the suspect then smashed the windscreen of a car parked at the property and made off on foot from Velsheda Court through an alleyway to Cranbrook Court. It is believed the man then got into a white coloured car to flee the area.
The suspect is described as being around 5'4" tall and wearing a dark coloured hooded top with white draw strings.
The occupant and a woman and three children who were also in the house at the time were not injured but left badly shaken by this incident.
Police have appealed for anyone who in the area at the time and who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact CID at Antrim Road on the non emergency number 101.
Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
