Aggravated Burglary In Randalstown Investigated
An investigation has been launched following an aggravated burglary in Randalstown.
According to police, the incident took place at a house in the Thornleigh Park area of Randalstown on Tuesday 22 November.
Detective Inspector Millar said: "It was reported that at around 8.30pm on Tuesday evening, a number of masked men wearing dark clothing forced entry to the house, threatened the male occupant and demanded money. One of the men was reported to have been armed with a firearm. They then proceeded to ransack the house before making off with a legally held shotgun. The occupant was not harmed during the incident but was left badly shaken.
"I would appeal for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area of Thornleigh Park on Tuesday evening or who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Antrim on 101 quoting reference number 676 24/11/16. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Resurfacing Schemes For Antrim & Randalstown
Roads Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of two resurfacing schemes in Randalstown and Antrim. The projects are worth £230,000. In Randalstown, work will begin on Tuesday 1 October and continue until Tuesday 15 October between Church Road and Clonkeen Road.
