PwC Analytics Training Academy Launches
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry has launched the Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) Analytics Training Academy 2015.
The PwC Analytics Academy is now in its second year and aims to provide graduates with the skills and experience required to take up exciting new opportunities being created by PwC in data analytics, a key growth area in the Information and Communications (ICT) industry.
Minister Farry said: "Now in its second year the PwC Analytics Academy continues to meet the demand from PwC for skilled graduates. The Academy model is an excellent example of the Assured Skills initiative to enhance the skills of unemployed graduates whilst providing skills that employers have identified as a requirement for the future economic growth.
"The results of the Academy style approach speak for themselves and I encourage any graduates seeking employment to consider a career with a prestigious company like PwC in the expanding local ICT sector."
The Academy was designed by the Department for Employment and Learning, PwC and Belfast Metropolitan College under the Assured Skills initiative. Targeting degree graduates from any discipline, it will offer an intensive eight week training programme to 14 successful applicants. Successful participants will gain an industry recognised qualification and a potential offer of employment with PwC.
