Two Injured During Hit And Run Incident In North Belfast

Two people have been injured during a hit and run incident in north Belfast.

A man, 20, suffered injuries to his head and shoulder after a car mounted a footpath in the New Lodge Road area at around 8pm on Monday. He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

In the same incident, a woman suffered a cut to her leg, when a shovel was thrown from the vehicle.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Teenager Attacked In West Belfast
An 18-year-old man has been attacked in west Belfast. The incident happened on the Stewartstown Road in the Twinbrook area at around 2.30am on Saturday, 23 July. The victim sustained several injuries including a broken jaw. Five other men are believed to have been involved in the attack.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Man Seriously Injured In Assault
A man has suffered serious injuries following an assault in Lisburn. He is being treated in hospital. It is understood the incident happened on the Mullaghglass Road, shortly before 2am on Monday. Three people have been arrested. Two men, aged 47 and 53, and a woman, aged 46, are said to have been detained by detectives.

19-Year-Old Man Critical After North Belfast Stabbing
A 19-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital following a stabbing in north Belfast on Saturday. It is understood that the man suffered injuries to his face, neck and arms in an incident close to the junction of Harcourt Drive and Manor Street, off the Cliftonville Road, at around 7pm on Saturday, 17 September.
