Appeal Following Armed Robbery In Carrick
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at an off-licence in Carrickfergus, County Antrim.
The incident occurred in the Woodburn Road area on Sunday.
A man wearing a balaclava, believed to have been armed with a handgun, entered the premises and demanded the shop assistant hand over money and cigarettes.
The robber made off in the direction of Hawthorn Avenue with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
He is described as being approximately 6ft in height, slim-medium build.

Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a shop in north Belfast. Two men, one armed with a knife, entered the premises on the Ardoyne Road at around 10.45pm on Sunday, 18 June. A male worker was threatened and a quantity of cigarettes were stolen. Members of the public intervened and the pair made off.

Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery at an off licence in Agincourt Avenue last night. At around 5.50pm a man armed with a handgun entered the premises in the Holy Lands area and, after threatening a female member of staff, stole a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.
