Investigation Launched After Children Suspiciously Approached In Ballymena
Police have launched an investigation after a suspicious approach to children was made in Ballymena, Co Antrim.
The incident occurred in the Queen Street area on Wednesday evening.
Chief Inspector Simon Ball said: "We are investigating the report very carefully and taking the matter seriously. We understand that this type of incident creates concern for our community. We understand that the safety and welfare of children is the number concern of parents.
"Please be assured that there is great time and effort going into the investigation. We will provide a community update when we can."
UKIP North Antrim Representative and Ballymena Councillor, Donna Anderson, said: "Parents be aware. There was a possible abduction attempt tonight on Queen Street just after 7pm. I am just off the phone with the mother. The children are safe but are understandably traumatised. PSNI are now on the scene and the car registration was noted. A good description of the car and the man involved have been given and CCTV camera evidence will hopefully have been captured."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

Attempted Murder Investigation Launched Following Pipe Bomb Find
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following the discovery of a pipe bomb in north Belfast on Tuesday, 09 August. The "viable device" was found in the North Queen Street area. Police believe it was most likely thrown at a passing PSNI vehicle the night before.
