Police Appeal After Burglary In North Belfast
Thieves burgled a house in north Belfast, after they watched the family leave their home in an ambulance, police believe.
The incident happened in the Silverstream Road area in north Belfast between 2pm and 11pm on Wednesday, 13 January.
Jewellery and a games console were stolen from the house.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: "What makes this incident even more despicable is that the residents were actually at the Royal Victoria Hospital during this time, having been taken there by ambulance that morning.
"They have been left understandably very upset.
"We are appealing to anyone with information that could assist our investigation to get in touch with Musgrave Reactive and Organised Crime on 101."

Detectives in north Belfast are investigating the report of a shooting incident in the Velsheda Court area yesterday evening, 3 September. It was reported to police that a man called to the house at around 22:00 and, when the door was answered by a male occupant, a number of shots were fired.

Man And Child Escape Shooting Unharmed
A man and a child have escaped uninjured after two shots were fired at a house in north Belfast on Monday evening. The PSNI said the man and child were in the property at Westland Way at about 23:50 on Monday night, when the man heard two shots. He went to the door and observed two strike marks.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ardoyne, north Belfast. According to police, a petrol bomb was thrown at the house on Estoril Park just before midnight last night, causing scorch damage to the property.

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was allegedly raped in north Belfast. The incident happened on the Cavehill Road in the Waterworks area at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, 17 May. Enquiries are ongoing. No further details have been released.

PSNI 'Increasingly Concerned' For Missing North Belfast Man
The PSNI are increasingly concerned for a missing north Belfast man who may have travelled towards Larne. 39-year-old C Brady was last seen in the Skegoniel area at around 5.30pm on 05 January. He is believed to have travelled towards Larne in a silver Toyota Yaris, registration number FFZ 5221.
