Ammonia Spill at Creamery In L'Derry

Emergency services are attending the scene following an ammonia spill at Ballryashane Creamery in L'Derry.

The premises have been evacuated and the Creamery Road has been closed in both directions.

Fire crews have identified an isolated leak, however there is believed to be no immediate risk to life or property.

Motorists are being advised to seek an alternative route.

The incident is ongoing.

Three people have been taken to hospital following an ammonia spill at Ballyrashane Creamery in L'Derry. Emergency services attended the scene at Creamery Road on Monday morning. A leak was isolated and a second leak was also discovered. It has since been isolated.

Two People Stable After Suspected Ammonia Leak In Kilkeel
Two people are in a stable condition following a suspected ammonia leak at a fish factory in Kilkeel, Co Down. Emergency services attended the scene at Young's Seafood processing factory on Monday, 16 July. A total of 14 people were taken to hospital to be assessed.

Couple remanded in custody after major bomb find
A County Tyrone husband and wife have appeared in court charged in connection with the discovery of a 130lb-primed bomb. Unemployed joiner Steven John Daly, 28, and his 25-year-old wife Helen Marie Daly from Glenaness Road, Sixmilecross, were charged with possession of an explosive substance with intent to endanger life and damage property.

Appeal Following Arson Attack In L'Derry
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.
