Officers Injured During Police Pursuit

Three police officers have been injured following a police pursuit in north Belfast.

A vehicle failed to stop for police in the Shankill Road area at around 1pm on Monday.

A PSNI Land Rover was hit by a vehicle which was also being chased by a police car.

The police officers received minor injuries.

Another vehicle was also struck during the chase, however it is not known if anyone was injured.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested for a number of driving offences.

A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released. The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.

Two Police Officers Injured in Derry Ramming Incident
Two police officers sustained injuries and their patrol car was damaged in a collision early Monday morning, 21 October, as they responded to a report of a suspected drink-driver. The incident unfolded around midnight when police received information about a silver Mercedes being driven erratically on Shipquay Street.

Police Officers Accused Of Assault Cleared
Police officers accused of assaulting a man outside a hotel in Belfast have been cleared. The man accused officers of stamping on his foot, misusing CS Spray and causing further injury to his foot by dragging him into a police vehicle. He was subsequently arrested and convicted of disorderly behaviour in connection with the incident.

Police Vehicle Attacked In North Belfast
A police vehicle has been attacked in north Belfast. At around 11.20pm on Sunday, a device was thrown at a police Land Rover in the Twaddell Avenue area of the city. It did not explode. The PSNI have described the attack as a "cold, calculated attempt to kill police officers".
