Belfast firm join global accountancy network

A Belfast-based accountancy firm is set to join the world's tenth largest network of accountants.

Mooney Moore will join Baker Tilly International and practice as Baker Tilly Mooney Moore.

Mooney Moore, which can trace its roots back to the 1920's, will remain an independent firm within the Baker Tilly global network of accountants and business advisors.

Geoff Barnes, CEO and President of Baker Tilly International visited Belfast to announce the alliance. He said: "As one of the top 10 global networks of accountants and business advisors offering high quality professional services, we have been looking for some time for the appropriate accounting firm in Northern Ireland to join our network.

"We are delighted that the partners of Mooney Moore have decided to join us and we look forward to working with them to continue to provide excellent service to clients, both in Northern Ireland and worldwide."

Whilst maintaining their independence, Mooney Moore hope to forge close links with other firms in the Baker Tilly network particularly in Great Britain and in the Republic of Ireland.

Baker Tilly International is currently the 10th largest accountancy network in the world by fee income and is represented by 107 firms in 59 countries, with a global fee income of $1.4 billion and 17,000 staff worldwide.
