Gale Force Winds And Snow Expected In NI
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for gale force winds and snow across Northern Ireland.
The warning has been put in place from Wednesday, 11 January, until 12pm on Thursday, 12 January.
Gale force winds of up to 70mph are expected in some places with increasing wintry showers.
Several centimetres of snow will begin to accumulate from western coasts, especially over higher ground.
Temperatures will plummet and showers will turn to snow, sleet and hail in many areas.
Lightning is also expected and there may be potential disruption to power supplies.
Motorists are being advised to take care as travel conditions will be affected.

Severe gale force winds with gusts of up to 50mph are expected in some places and there is also a high risk of flooding in some areas.
