Major Job Fair To Take Place In Newry
The Department for Communities, in partnership with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Eures Cross Border Partnership, is hosting a major job fair in Newry on Thursday 23 March 2017.
The Job Fair will take place in the Canal Court Hotel, between 10am and 3pm, and admission is free.
More than 60 employers will take part including representatives from the care, manufacturing, hospitality and retail sectors and many more.
The Job Fair aims to offer people who are seeking employment the opportunity to meet up with a range of prospective employers and apply for work. It is a chance to find out more about how to enhance your employability and learn about the types of jobs that are currently available.
Leo O'Reilly, Permanent Secretary of the Department for Communities, said: "If anyone is seeking a job or a thinking of a change in career, this major job fair brings a range of employers under one roof. People will be able to apply for jobs and get an insight into what employers are offering and the skills they are seeking. It will provide the opportunity to make valuable connections, explore options and get advice. I would encourage as many people as possible to take the time on 23 March to visit the job fair. For some it may be a defining day for their future career."
