Police Search For Car Owner After Co Antrim Crash

Police are seeking the owner of a car following a crash in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

The PSNI believes the driver of the red Clio lost control on the Bog Road in Ballymena and made off on foot.

Significant damage was caused to the vehicle which rolled several times.

A police spokesperson said: "As you can see there is significant damage to the vehicle, so we called out our colleague PD Csacsi. Csacsi checked the area to ensure the driver and any possible passengers hadn't collapsed in near by fields.

"If you have any information on who owns this vehicle please contact Police on 101 quoting ref1319 15/06/17."

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.

Police Vehicle Contracts Arrest - Man Released
A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released. The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.

The PSNI have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of a number of offences after driving his vehicle at police officers in Ballymena. The offences include the attempted murder of three police officers, aggravated vehicle taking, criminal damage and dangerous driving.
