Man Arrested After Car Crashes Into House In West Belfast

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into the front of a house in west Belfast.

The incident happened at a property on the Whiterock Road on Tuesday night, 25 July.

The vehicle crashed through the front garden wall and into the front of the house.

Extensive damage was caused and police said the Fire Service, Phoenix Gas, Clanmill Housing and vehicle recovery were just a few that attended the incident.

Two males also made off from the scene in the direction of Whiterock Grove.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Stolen Car Crashes With Police Vehicle In South Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses after a stolen car and a police vehicle crashed in south Belfast. The silver Mini, which was taken during a burglary at Fitzroy Avenue in the early hours of Thursday morning, collided with a police vehicle at the junction of Fitzroy Avenue and Carmel Street. No-one was injured in the incident.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
