Call For Threats Against Catholic Families To Be Lifted Immediately
Political leaders in Northern Ireland are calling for a threat against a number of Catholic families in south Belfast to be lifted immediately.
Four families have been forced to leave their homes in Cantrell Close after being ordered to leave the area.
The DUP, Sinn Féin, the SDLP, the UUP, the Alliance Party and the Green Party have called for the threats to be lifted.
In a joint statement the parties said: "We as political leaders condemn all forms of sectarianism, intolerance and threats of violence.
"There is also an onus on the PSNI and the statutory agencies to provide immediate and appropriate support to the affected families, including re-housing those affected if they feel unable to remain in their homes.
"This situation runs absolutely contrary to the ethos under which the Cantrell Close development was created.
"Everyone has the right to live in a society without fear of intimidation and free from sectarianism.
"Those behind this threat offer nothing but hatred and division and should be condemned by all political, community and statutory leaders."

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.

Death Threats Lifted Against Community Wardens
Dissident republican death threats made against community support workers at Derry City Council have been lifted. It is understood the trade union NIPSA has confirmed that threats, made on two separate occasions against the council's community workers, have now been lifted.

Call For Threats In West Belfast To Be Lifted Immediately
A shot has been fired at a house in west Belfast in a "case of mistaken identity". Sinn Fein MLA Paul Maskey confirmed a list is circulating in the area warning a number of people they would be targeted by dissidents. He said the threats are "about extorting cash from criminals and drug dealers" and called for them to be "lifted immediately".
