Ecstasy tablets seized in Co Down
Police have seized 27,000 ecstasy tablets in Co Down today.
The tablets, which had a street value of approximately £135,000, were found in the Armagh Road area of Newry.
The tablets were hidden in a number of items which have been taken away for forensic examination.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Woman Bailed Over £80k Drug Seizure
A woman has been bailed after being detained by detectives investigating the seizure of £80,000 of drugs in County Down earlier this week. In a PSNI search of commercial premises in Conlig, County Down on Monday, officers uncovered suspected amphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy tablets, a bulking agent and drugs paraphernalia.

Court Appearances Follow Drugs Seizure
A 32-year-old man has been charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession with intent to supply. The charges relate to an incident in the Drumabreagh Road area of Castlederg in the early hours of Saturday. He will appear before Strabane Magistrates Court on 20 March.

10,000 ecstasy tablets recovered by police
Police have recovered 10,000 ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of £10,000 in north Belfast last night. The drugs were recovered after a car was stopped at Fortwilliam Park at around 9pm on Thursday night. A 22-year-old man, who was driving the car, ran off but was later apprehended and arrested by police.

Ecstasy Tablets Found Outside School
A bag containing about 500 ecstasy tablets has been found outside the gates of St Luke's Primary School in west Belfast. The drugs, with a street value of approximately £2,000 and were pink in colour, were retrieved by a woman walking past the school in the Twinbrook area just after 2pm on Saturday.
