House And Car Damaged By Gang Believed To Be Armed With Sledgehammers

Police have launched an investigation after a house and car were damaged by a gang, believed to have been armed with sledgehammers, in north Belfast.

The incident happened at residential premises in the Dhu Varren Parade area at around 10.30pm on Friday, 10 November.

No-one was injured in the incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1489 10/11/17."

Two People In Shock Following Armed Robbery In Belfast
Two people have been left in shock after an armed gang forced their way into their him in Belfast. The incident happened in the Meadow Place area shortly before 9pm on Monday, 05 February. One of the suspects was armed with a hammer. They searched the property and made off on foot. A man was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

Two Armed Men Rob Off Licence In Co Armagh
Police are appealing for information after two armed men robbed an off licence in Portadown, Co Armagh. The incident happened at premises in the Gilford Road area at around 9.40pm on Monday. The men, armed with a bat and a knife, threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

Craigavon Attack Probed
A local politician has roundly condemned those behind an assault and robbery in Co Armagh. The victims - two men - were beaten and robbed by an armed gang who broke into a house in Craigavon. Police have asked for anyone with information to contact them after three masked men got into the house at Old Fort Lodge in the Moyraverty area at around 10.

Armed Robbers Target Parochial House In Newry
Two men, one of whom was carrying a gun, have robbed a parochial house in Newry. The pair entered St Catherine's Dominican Priory in Dominic Street at approximately 20.30pm on Thursday. They threatened staff who were in the house at the time and made off with a sum of money.
