Searches Continue Following Reports Of Man Falling Into River Lagan
A search operation is underway along the River Lagan at Belfast Harbour following reports that a man fell into the water on Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of concern for a man's safety who had been seen close to Lagan Weir at about 10am on 01 March.
Police, Coastguard and Lagan Search and Rescue have been carrying out an ongoing search of the river throughout the harbour area.
According to reports, the searches are continuing this morning, Friday 02 March.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

While the emergency services are today searching part of the River Lagan in Belfast for a man believed to have fallen in overnight, an 18-year-old man has been successfully rescued from the River Foyle in Londonderry. Police were called to Queen's Quay following reports that a man was in the water at about 2.15am on Monday.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Organised Crime Unit, in partnership with Belfast Harbour Police, have made a significant breakthrough in their fight against drug crime. On Friday evening, November 22nd, a vehicle was intercepted and searched in the West Bank Road area of north Belfast.

Man Jailed In Connection With Annahilt Cannabis Farm
The PSNI has welcomed the sentencing of a man at Craigavon Crown Court in connection with a cannabis farm disovered in Annahilt in February, 2023. Clive Weir, from the Annahilt area, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months on licence.
