Invest NI Announces Trade Mission To Poland And Czech Republic
Invest NI has announced that it is to host a trade mission to Poland and the Czech Republic from 11-15 June, 2018.
The five day mission will visit Warsaw and Prague however attendees will have the option to travel outside these cities.
The mission will be multi-sectoral and open to companies wishing to develop their exports to this region.
The Czech Republic is one of the most stable and prosperous markets in central Europe. The private sector accounts for about 80% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Gross domestic income per capita is currently around USD 27,191 – one of the highest in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
Poland has been one of the fastest developing countries in the EU in recent years. In 2017 it was ranked by the World Bank as the 27th easiest country in which to do business. Poland is located at the crossroads of European trade and transport routes. It can be an entry point to other Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries as well as emerging markets further east.
Benefits of participation:
• Opportunity to access new export markets Poland and Czech Republic
• Advice and support on doing business in Poland and Czech Republic by a country expert
• In-market support through the in-market Trade Advisers
• Up to 50% contribution towards an economy airfare (capped at £300)*
• Up to £75 per night towards accommodation – maximum 5 nights
*Contribution towards airfares and accommodation is for one participant per company only

Businesses are invited to join the mission and take advantage of the business opportunities within the region. The main mission centre is based in the Czech Republic with the option to travel to either Slovakia or Hungary.

Lisburn Firm Secures Export Business In Poland
Lisburn-based Robert Craig and Sons, a specialist in industrial pumps for more than 100 years, has secured its first export business in Poland with help from Invest Northern Ireland. The company is now supplying its eco-friendly fuel polishing system to Loadbanks, a major equipment business in Warsaw.
