Woman And Children Rescued From Suspected Arson In North Belfast

An investigation has been launched following a suspected arson attack in North Belfast.

A woman and two children were rescued from a house on Jellicoe Avenue in Fortwilliam in the early hours of Monday morning.

NI Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene just after 1am and spent several hours tackling the blaze.

It is understood that the a car parked in the driveway of the house was set alight, with the fire then spreading to the house.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life with intent.

Arson Attack On 5G Mast In West Belfast
Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

An 89-year-old man has been rescued from a fire at a house in west Belfast. The blaze happened at a property in the Lenadoon Avenue area in Suffolk on Tuesday, 06 March. Emergency services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
