Four people have been left "extremely shaken" after a "volley of shots" were fired at a house in Newry.
The attack happened at a property in the Barcroft Park area at around 1am on Thursday, 23 August.
The shots were fired through the living room window, however no-one was injured.
The PSNI have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
SDLP MLA Justin McNulty said: "Reckless attacks like these are wholly unjustified and have no place in our society.
"It is a miracle that the four adults in the house escaped injury.
"I would appeal to anyone with information to contact crimestoppers on 101."
Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady said: "Police have confirmed to me that eight shots were fired through a living room window.
"Thankfully none of the four people in the house have been injured, but this could have been much worse.
"This was a reckless attack which put lives at risk. It should be condemned by all and those responsible should get off the backs of this community."
