NI Secretary Of State To Meet Stormont Parties
Northern Ireland Secretary of State Karen Bradley is to meet with the five main Stormont parties to discuss prospects for restoring devolution.
Ms Bradley will also meet with church leaders and the Irish deputy prime minister in today's talks.
Power-sharing at Stormont collapsed early last year and negotiations have since failed to resolve the conflict between Sinn Fein and the DUP.
Ahead of today's meeting, Ms Bradley said: "I am deeply committed and determined to see the restoration of devolved government in Northern Ireland at the earliest opportunity.
"I've continued to engage with the political parties and the Irish Government, as appropriate, seeking their views on both the legislation I will shortly be taking forward and the means of restarting talks aimed at restoring devolution.
"Today is another step in that process."
Ms Bradley also said she is particularly pleased to be meeting church leaders from Northern Ireland and welcomes their recent initiative of meeting with political leaders.
