Man Released Over Warrenpoint Murder

A man arrested on suspicion of murdering a father-of-two last month has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Wayne Boylan died instantly after two gunmen burst into a house and shot him in the head with a gun.

The murder happened at the 37-year-old's friends house, when the men entered the property on the Lower Dromore Road at around 7.30pm on Friday 18 January.

A 21-year-old woman also sustained gunshot injuries in the attack and was treated in hospital.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Arrest Over Attempted Murder
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night. A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the attack, in which a number of people are believed to have been involved.

Man remanded over murder charge
A 22-year-old Latvian man has appeared in Belfast Magistrates Court charged with the murder of a man at a house in south Belfast last week. Kaspars Valters, of no fixed address, spoke through an interpretor only to confirm that he understood the charges. He was remanded in custody to reappear before the court via videolink on October 9.
