Appeal As Co Down Business Burgled

Police have appealed for public assistance following a commercial burglary and vehicle theft in County Down.

A petrol station in Carryduff was targeted in the early hours of this morning, Monday 12 August. A number of cash was taken by suspects who arrived and left in a stolen vehicle, a white Hyundai Tucson.

Detectives are urging anyone who saw a similar vehicle driving between 1am and 6am to contact police on 101 quoting reference 152 of 12/08/19.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "We really want to catch those responsible and bring them before the courts but we need help from vigilant members of the local community. Thanks as always for any information you can provide, you never know how much a small piece of information can help!!"

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police Vehicle Contracts Arrest - Man Released
A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released. The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.

Police Vehicle Damaged In Car Theft Getaway
A police vehicle has been rammed during a car theft in Belfast in the early hours this morning, Wednesday 04 November. Officers were called to an incident in the Dunmore Avenue area where a number of males had gained entry to a red Mitsubishi Colt. They attended the area and observed the stolen vehicle on the Cavehill Road area.
