Shot Fired At West Belfast Flat
A man and woman have escaped injury after a shot was fired through the front door of their west Belfast flat.
The property in Cherry Walk, Dunmurry was targeted on Thursday night, 26 September.
The shot rang out at around 9pm, damaging the glass panel of the door.
Two men who are believed to have been involved made off on foot in the direction of Chestnut Park.
The male and female occupants, both aged in their 20s, were uninjured.
Police have condemned the attack. Detective Sergeant Fairfield said: "This was a reckless attack and we are fortunate the occupants of the property were not injured.
"We are working to establish a motive for the attack, and appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and saw any suspicious activity, including any persons or vehicles, to get in touch with detectives at Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number 1994 of 26/09/19."

A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man Arrested Over 1987 Murders
Police have arrested a man in Belfast as part of an investigation into the murders of two police officers almost 30 years ago. Detective Constable Michael Malone, 35, and Ernest Carson, 50, were shot in an IRA gun attack at the Liverpool Bar in Donegall Quay on 26 August 1987. Another officer and a civilian were also injured in the attack.
