Suspect Due In Court After Teen Stabbed

A 31-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage boy was stabbed in north Belfast on Saturday evening.

The suspect will appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Monday 21 October. He is also facing charges of possession of an offensive weapon following the incident in Spamount Street.

Police had established a presence in the area amid reports of youths fighting before news emerged that a teenage boy had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition was later described as serious but not life threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing and detectives have urged anyone with any information on either the disorder or the stabbing to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 1810 of 19/10/19. Alternatively, information can be provided in confidence via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Man charged with attempted murder
A man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with attempting to murder two women in a knife attack in the city centre. The man 28-year-old Kenneth John Scott, unemployed and of no fixed abode appeared at Belfast Magistrate’s Court on Friday November 16 charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Woman Charged After Man Found Stabbed In West Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital after he was found with stab wounds in west Belfast. Police said that a 57-year-old man was found at about 02:50 on Sunday on Conway Street suffering stab wounds. A 45-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident a short time later. She is due to appear in court today charged with attempted murder.
