Marek Sinko Jailed Over Fight That Killed Uncle
A man has been jailed for four years for the manslaughter of his uncle.
Eugeniusz Sinko died following a fight with his nephew Marek Sinko at their isolated Co Antrim home in October last year.
Mr Sinko, aged 38, was sentenced to eight years imprisonment at Laganside Crown Court today, Monday 03 February.
Half of his sentence will be served in custody and half on licence.
Eugeniusz Sinko sustained multiple blunt force injuries to his head, chest, back and arms during the fight at their shared home in Rasharkin on Saturday 21 October 2019.
It's understood the pair are both Polish nationals.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team said: "This was a senseless fight between an uncle and nephew which led to the death of Eugeniusz.
"I know that today's sentencing will not bring Eugeniusz back to his family, who have had to live through the nightmare of a nephew having killed his uncle, however, I hope it will bring some level of closure for them."

Man Charged With Rasharkin Murder

Life sentence for man who murdered uncle
