Storm Jorge Hits NI
Storm Jorge is to bring winds of up to 70mph this weekend.
The Met Office has issued three weather warnings as heavy rainfall, icy stretches and strong gales are forecast for the coming days.
Named by the Spanish Met service, Storm Jorge will cause heavy downfalls of rain throughout Friday and into Saturday, followed by high winds the rest of the weekend.
Gusts of up to 50-60mph are "likely quite widely", according to forecasters, with coastal communities advised to prepare for gales of 65-70mph.
Chief Meteorologist Paul Gunderson said the strongest and most damaging winds are expected across the Republic of Ireland.
The conditions may cause travel delays across Northern Ireland with the icy spell expected to make travelling by road as well as on pavements and cycle paths more treacherous.
