Pipe Bomb Thrown At East Belfast House

An investigation has been launched after a pipe bomb was thrown at a house in east Belfast.

The device caused a small fire in the living room of the property on the Carncaver Road when it was launched through the window at around 9.30pm.

NIFRS attended to extinguish the blaze. No one was in the property at the time.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist the investigation to contact detectives at Strandtown station on 101 quoting reference 1925 of 02/03/20.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In Lurgan
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack at a house in Lurgan. The blaze at a property in Castle Lane Mews was reported at around 9.10pm on Sunday, 08 May. Police believe the fire was started deliberately in the living room. No-one was in the house at the time, however significant damage was caused.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Disappearance Of Damien Heagney
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.
