Families escape injury in petrol bomb attacks
Two families have escaped injury following petrol bomb attacks in Co Down early this morning.
The devices were thrown at two houses in Annesborough, near Castlewellan, at around 1.30am.
One of the houses, where a woman and two teenagers were sleeping, suffered scorch damage. No one was injured in the attack.
The second house, where a baby, three teenagers, a woman and her partner lived, had a lucky escape when the device failed to explode.
Police have said they do not believe either incident was sectarian.

Woman And Child Escape Injury After House Attacked In East Belfast
A woman and child have escaped injury after a gang of armed men attacked their home in east Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Fashoda Street at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 14 February. The men, armed with hammers, smashed a number of windows at the property. A mother and her daughter were not injured, the PSNI have confirmed.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Three children have escaped injury after shots were fired through a window at a house in Belfast. The attack happened at a property on Norglen Parade at around 1.30am on Monday, 03 July. Two adults were also in the house when shots were fired through the living room window. No one was injured.

City Airport forced to close following emergency landing
Belfast City Airport was forced to close for two hours today after a light aircraft made an emergency landing because of undercarriage failure. The plane, a privately owned Cessna, was forced to land heavily after its undercarriage failed on a return flight from Paris.
