Appeal After Serious Assault At Custom House Square
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a serious assault in Custom House Square, Belfast on Saturday 22nd October.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant McCartan said: "At approximately 9.40pm on Saturday 22nd October, we received multiple reports of an ongoing disturbance at Custom House Square.
"During this altercation, one man in his 20s had part of his finger bitten off. He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injury.
"Our enquiries into this matter are ongoing. The Custom House area was very busy at the time and we would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this nasty assault, or who may have mobile phone footage of the altercation, to contact detectives.
"The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1884 of 22/10/22."

Appeal Issued After Man Trapped Under Bus In Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was struck by a bus in Belfast city centre on Saturday, 23 September. The incident happened at Custom House Square at around 11.30am. Emergency services attended the scene and heavy lifting equipment was used to free the man who was trapped under the bus.
