Investigation Launches Following Hijacking In West Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following reports a van has been hijacked in west Belfast.
The driver of a Renault Traffic Van was approached by a man armed with a knife in the Ross Road area on Saturday, 13 July.
Detective Sergeant Magee said: "The man, threatened the victim and subsequently took the van.
"The van was discovered a short time later in the nearby Ardmoulin Close.
"Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man believed to be in his late teens, of thin build and wearing a light grey hoody, grey bottoms and trainers in the area to get in touch.
"I would also appeal to anyone with CCTV, door-bell or other footage that could assist the investigation to contact 101 quoting reference 1548 of 13/07/24
"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/."

Police have launched an investigation following reports a number of shots were fired in L'Derry. The incident is believed to have happened in the Old School Lane area on Wednesday, 31 May. Police were contacted by members of the public, however there were no reports of any injuries or damage to properties.

An investigation has launched after a nine-year-old girl was approached by a man in a black van in west Belfast. The incident happened at the junction of Woodside and the pedestrian entrance of Woodside Park at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 13 March. The man got out of the van and offered the girl some sweets.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Post Office Van Driver Hijacked In West Belfast
A post office van driver has been hijacked and threatened with a knife in west Belfast. The vehicle was stolen in Ross Road on Tuesday which was later found abandoned in the Valleyside Close area. A security alert was launched and the part of the Springfield Road was closed on Wednesday, however it has since been re-opened.
