Viable Device Recovered After Ballyclare Security Alert

A viable device has been recovered following a security alert in the Ballyclare area on Saturday night, 26th April.

Police received a report of a suspicious object in a residential area at approximately 10:50pm. Officers attended the scene, and the object was subsequently declared viable and removed for further forensic examination.

Inspector Moore expressed gratitude to the local community for their cooperation during the incident. He also appealed for anyone with information to come forward: "Police would like to thank the local community for their understanding and would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1655 26/04/24. PSNI Probe Suspected Shooting
Police are investigating a suspected shooting in Omagh, County Tyrone. Officers were called to the Thornlea area of the town on Tuesday evening, 13 August. The incident, involving a black motorcycle with two riders, is believed to have occurred between 8pm and 8.15pm. The motorcycle then headed in the direction of Deverney Road.

A man is in a “serious condition” in hospital following a stabbing incident in Londonderry in the early hours of this morning. The attack happened at a house in the Glenvale area of the city and was reported to police at around 3.30am.

Police in Londonderry have appealed for information following a serious sexual assault on a woman in the city in the early hours of this morning. The attack happened close to a licensed premises at Rock Terrace in the Strand Road area between 3am and 3.30am this morning.

Victim hospitalised in paramilitary style shooting
A 38-year-old man has been treated in hospital following a paramilitary style shooting in north Belfast on Sunday. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg during the incident which occurred in the Westland area of the city shortly after 12 noon.

Two Viable Pipe Bombs Found In North Belfast
Two viable pipe bombs have been found in the New Lodge area of north Belfast. A security alert was sparked in the Churchill Street area at around 1pm on Wednesday, 22 August. Army bomb disposal experts carried out controlled explosions and they were declared viable devices. The alert has now ended and residents have returned to their homes.
