Masked Gang Attack Newtownards Home

Police are continuing their investigation today after a residential property in Killard Heights, Newtownards, was targeted in an arson and criminal damage attack last night, Sunday 01 June.

Detective Sergeant Bell reported that at approximately 10:50pm, a large group of masked men, armed with hammers, forced their way into the home.

"The men ran through the house and caused damage to a number of windows, including the windscreen of a car parked outside, before a petrol bomb was thrown at the front door as they left," Detective Sergeant Bell stated.

Several people were present in the property at the time of the intrusion and were left "shocked and scared." Fortunately, no further injuries have been reported.

Enquiries are ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with information, particularly dashcam, mobile, or other footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference 1715 of 01/06/25.

Couple held hostage in south Belfast robbery
A couple have been tied up and robbed by an armed gang at their south Belfast home. Three masked men entered the house at Windsor Avenue North at around 10.30am on Monday night armed with handguns. Once inside they demanded money from the couple who were held inside the house throughout the night whilst the gang ransacked the home.

Staff Left Badly Shaken After Armed Robbery In Co Antrim
Workers at a shop in Co Antrim have been left shaken after three masked men entered the premises in an armed robbery. Three masked men, believed to be arraying suspected firearms, entered the shop on the Harbour Road in Carnlough, and threatened staff members just before 11pm on Thursday, 06 July.

Postal worker in shock after hijacking
A post office worker was left badly shaken yesterday after his van was hijacked and he was held for a time by three masked men. The incident occurred at around 6.30pm when three masked men approached the van at Carlisle Square in Belfast and forced the man in to the back of the vehicle. He was then blindfolded and tied up.

Armed robbery of shop in Antrim
Police in Antrim are appealing for information following a robbery in the town on Sunday. Shortly before 5pm two masked men entered a shop in the Parkhall estate where they confronted members of staff. They then forced the staff to hand over a substantial sum of cash before making off on foot.

North Belfast Woman Injured As Masked Gang Burgle Home
A woman has been injured in an aggravated burglary in north Belfast. It was reported that four masked men entered her home in Chestnut Gardens off the Cliftonville Road at a round 7pm on Wednesday 30 January. The 39-year-old woman was injured on the right side of her face as her property was ransacked and a number of items were stolen.
