Titanic Hotel Belfast In The Running For Eighth Consecutive Award

The Titanic Hotel Belfast has been shortlisted for the prestigious World Travel Awards for the eighth consecutive year.

The hotel is calling on the public to cast their votes to help it coveted title of "Northern Ireland's Leading Hotel".

Renowned for its setting within the former Harland & Wolff headquarters and Drawing Offices where the RMS Titanic was designed, the hotel has attracted international acclaim for its unique design and service since opening its doors in 2017.

The hotel, which features 119 Art Deco, nautical-themed bedrooms, has won numerous tourism and hospitality awards, most recently being named the Hotels ByDesign People's Choice Award winner. The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, celebrate excellence across the global travel and tourism industry, with public votes playing a vital role in deciding the winners.

Titanic Centenary Events Remember Lives Lost
A series of events were held over the weekend to commemorate the 1,500 men, women and children who lost their lives when the Titanic sank on 15 April 1912. To mark the centenary of the sinking a service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for the Titanic was held in St Anne’s Cathedral and a Requiem Mass was held in St Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast.

First Wedding Reception Booked At Titanic Suite
Love is in the air at Titanic Belfast as details were revealed about the first wedding reception to be booked at its banqueting suite. Lynsay Smith from Lisburn and Brian Evans from Newtownards will be the first couple to celebrate their marriage at the Titanic Suite, which occupies the top floors of the new centre.

A hotel in Northern Ireland has been named the UK’s best hotel during the International Hotel Awards. The Merchant Hotel, in Belfast, was honoured with the award during a ceremony held in London last night.
