Petrol-bomb attack on SDLP MLA's home condemned
NIO Security Minister Ian Pearson has condemned last night's petrol-bomb attack on the Londonderry home of an SDLP assembly member.
Pat Ramsey's Meenan Drive home was hit with two petrol bombs during the attack which occurred at around 11pm. One of the bombs exploded outside the window of his youngest daughter's bedroom.
Mr Ramsay's wife and children, who were at home at the time of the incident, escaped uninjured.
Condemning the attack, Mr Pearson said: "Pat Ramsey has devoted years to service to the people of Derry through his work as a councillor, MLA and member of the local District Policing Board.
"Thankfully no-one was injured in last night's incident, which was not only an attack on Mr Ramsey and his family but also on democracy."

Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.

Police Investigate Shooting Incident In L'Derry
Detectives are appealing for information after a young man was shot in the Creggan area on Wednesday night, November 27th. Shortly after 10:10 PM, police received a report that the man, in his late teens, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Man suffers broken neck in attack
SDLP Foyle Assembly candidate Pat Ramsey has condemned the assault of a man in Londonderry which the victim left with a broken neck. Stephen Quigley, 29, was approached and punched on the Strand Road in the city in the early hours of Monday morning.

Racist attack on south Belfast home condemned
A Pakistani family have become the latest ethnic minority family to be targeted in south Belfast last night. The family were in their Donegall Road home when a six-foot wooden plank was thrown through the front window at around 11pm. A man and his heavily pregnant sister-in-law were left uninjured but badly shocked in the incident.
