Three men injured in racial attack
Three men have been attacked in what police are treating as a racial incident in Lurgan, Co Armagh on Tuesday evening.
At around 9pm, the three men, who are believed to be Latvian, were walking through Lord Lurgan Park when they were attacked by a number of assailants.
One of the men suffered a stab wound to his arm, while the two remaining men were assaulted and kicked by the attackers.
All three were taken to hospital for treatment.
Elsewhere, police in Ballyclare are appealing for information about a robbery in the town on Tuesday night.
Some time between 7pm and 7.30pm a 22-year-old man was in a house at Doagh Road in the town when he answered the door to three men.
The men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, forced their way into the house before handcuffing the man to a radiator.
Although he was kicked in the ribs during the incident, the man was not seriously injured.
The men took a computer – and may have taken other items – before making their escape in the victim’s white Honda Civic car, registration JUI 8649.

The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. Three youths arrested after paint bomb attack
Three youths were arrested last night after paint bombs and stones were thrown at police in Londonderry. The officers were targeted at around 23:00 in the Fahan Street area. Earlier it had been reported that a paint bomb was thrown at a house in the Fountain area.

A man has been attacked during an aggravated burglary in Co Down. The incident happened at a property in the Summerhill Brae area in Banbridge at around 10.35pm on Tuesday, 19 September. Three masked men forced their way into the property and assaulted a man, aged in his 30s, before they tied him up. They ransacked the property and made off.

Young Girl Approached In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after a young girl was approached by men in a van in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Creggan area at around 4.15pm on Wednesday. The nine-year-old girl was walking in the Creggan area when a white van pulled up beside her. One of the three men asked her to get in, however the girl refused and ran home.

A 23-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down. The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Saturday on the Abbotts Road in Newtownards. Police said the victim had tried to run away when he saw four men pull up alongside him in a red Ford Escort car.
