Police appeal following separate robberies in Belfast
Detectives in north Belfast are appealing for information following two separate robberies on Tuesday.
In the first incident at around 12 noon a security guard was assaulted as he delivered a cash box to a bank on the Shankill Road.
The robber and an accomplice made off with the cash box in a car, a red Ford Escort, which was later found empty in Ohio Street.
The box was also found with both the alarm and dye activated and detectives believe the robbers may have been exposed to the colorant.
A short time later at around 2.30pm a security guard was approached by an armed man as he made a cash delivery to a bank on the Dargan Road.
The gun was put to his head and the cashbox stolen before the robber fled in a waiting dark-coloured car.
He is described as being around 5’ 8” tall of thin build with a moustache and was wearing a green fleece and a woolly hat.
Anyone who may have witnessed either incident is asked to contact detectives on 028 90650222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
