Bookmakers robbed in south Belfast
Police in South Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a bookmakers shop on Monday.
Shortly before 2.30pm a man armed with a knife entered the premises at Gresham Street and after threatening staff made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
It is believed he escaped on foot along Gresham Street and into North Street.
The thief is described as being around 5’5 tall of medium build and was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and had a red coloured scarf covering his face.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave Street on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a number of arson attacks in south Belfast. Two cars were set on fire in the Joy Street area and another vehicle was set alight in Friendly Street in the early hours of Friday morning, 09 September.

Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a hairdressing salon last night. At around 7pm, two men armed with knives entered the premises on the Sunnyside Street area of the city, and threatened a female member of staff, while holding a knife to her throat.
