Security guard escapes injury during South Belfast robbery
Detectives in South Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery on the upper Lisburn Road this afternoon.
Shortly before midday, a man wearing a blue jacket, dark coloured jeans and a blue hat, threatened a security guard with a long bladed knife.
The robber then made off with a cash box containing a substantial sum of money in the direction of Finaghy Road North.
He is then believed to have jumped into a light coloured car, with a partial registration number beginning TAZ.
The security guard was not injured, however was badly shaken by the ordeal.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Musgrave station on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
