Man's body found in Newtownabbey
Police in County Antrim have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body.
It has been reported that the body was discovered by a council workman close to a shelter in the middle of Carnmoney Cemetery at around 8am this morning.
The workman has said that he saw the body with what looked like a knife sticking out, and immediately contacted the emergency services.
However at this stage police have said that it is too early to say whether the man was murdered.
As yet, the man's identity is not known and detectives are trying to establish why he was in the cemetery so early in the morning.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
The area has been cordoned off while forensic experts examine the scene.

Body found in Galway freezer unit
A murder investigation has been launched after the discovery of a body in a shop's refrigeration unit in Galway. The man was found in a cold storage unit at the back store at the premises in St John's Avenue on Wednesday. A post mortem examination is to be carried out.

Body found in County Antrim
Police have confirmed that the body recovered from the river Lagan in Lisburn earlier today was that of a 60-year-old local man. However, the identity of the man has not yet been released. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out tomorrow to establish the cause of death. There are no further details at present.

County Down death "not suspicious"
Police investigating the death of a 51-year-old man in County Down yesterday evening, have confirmed that they are no longer treating it as suspicious. This follows the results of a post mortem examination which was carried out earlier today. The man's body was discovered in the Church Street area of Bangor last night.
