Police attacked in west Belfast
Police in west Belfast have been attacked by youths throwing petrol bombs and other missiles during a number of disturbances yesterday evening.
The first incident happened at around 6.25pm, when three petrol bombs were thrown at police vehicles on the Springfield Road area of the city.
No damaged was caused and no injuries were reported.
Approximately one hour later, a police vehicle was damaged after it was attacked by stone throwers.
Some time later, officers were attacked for a third time, after youths threw bricks and other missiles at vehicles as they passed through the area.
The incidents happened at an area known locally as "the funnel," which is close to the Ballymurphy Estate.
Police have said that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attacks.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Bus Driver Injured In Flag Violence
A bus driver has been injured in another night of flag-related violence in Belfast. Translink ceased all metro services to and from east Belfast early yesterday evening, following reports that one of their staff had been attacked on the Newtownards Road at about 19:30.

RUC STATION ATTACKED IN CASTLEWELLAN
An explosion has occurred at an RUC station in Castlewellan, County Down and up to six shots were also reported to have been fired during the incident. On Friday an Army Technical Officer began an examination of the scene of the explosion which happened at about 11pm on Thursday 19 July.

Two men have been injured after being attacked during an aggravated burglary in Newtownards, Co Down. A number of masked men, armed with weapons, attacked a house in the Shackleton Walk area at around 9.40pm on Thursday, 16 November. Two men, who were in the property at the time, were assaulted in what police described as a "savage attack".
