Death threats made to Ballymena murder suspects
Death threats have been made to the seven people charged over the death of Ballymena teenager Michael McIlveen.
This was revealed today during a high court appearance involving the only defendant to be granted bail.
The 16-year-old was previously accused of fighting and causing an affray prior to the teenager's murder last May.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in court today in a bid to have his bail revoked after claiming that he could no longer live with his grandparents.
Earlier this month, the teenager was released on bail and told to live with his grandparents in England after it emerged that it would be unsafe for him to return to his Ballymena home.
His solicitor applied to have his bail revoked from Thursday, when he returns to Northern Ireland for a remand hearing.
Although he did agree to revoke bail, the judge said that he was reluctant to do so as the courts were under an obligation to try and ensure that young people remained in a family environment.
The case is due to be reviewed on September 14.

Seven remanded in custody after Ballymena drugs raid
Eleven people have appeared in Larne Magistrates Court, charged in connection with an illegal heroin network, following a police operation in the Ballymena area yesterday. Ten men and one woman appeared in court facing 31 charges relating to heroin dealing, the dealing of Class C narcotics and the distribution of prescription drugs.

Woman Charged With Murder Of Toddler
A 27-year-old woman arrested over the death of a three-year-old boy in Lisburn has been charged with his murder. Brendan Owens was found dead on 4 July at a property in Trinity Terrace, Lisburn. A post-mortem examination was carried out on the infant at the time, but it is understood the results were inconclusive.

Priest faces two indecent assault charges
An Armagh priest has appeared in court today charged with two charges of indecent assault. The charges against Father Michael Gerard McQuillian, 42, relate to incidents between March and October 1990. McQuillian released on police bail, pending a further hearing on 8 July.

A court in Belfast has heard that a meeting at a Belfast bar raided by police last week was called to bring an end to UDA criminality. The claim came in evidence given as a Judge considered evidence in relation to police application to have prominent loyalist Ihab Shoukri's bail revoked.
